The Select Entrance Accelerated Learning (SEAL) Program runs at Sale College for Years 7 – 9. This program commences at Sale College with the selection process involving Year 6 students who may be attending Sale College in the following year. These students have been identified as being in need of work presented at a significantly higher level and/or faster pace than the majority of students with the same chronological age.

The students will undertake a compacted curriculum in five of the eight Key Learning Areas. These areas are:
Students complete the standard Years 7 to 9 course in the other learning areas – Arts, Technology, Physical Education and Health.
The aim is to complete Years 7 – 10 in three years at the Guthridge Campus.
Students who enter this course will need to:
The students will be expected to take part in normal school activities. They will have access to, and be encouraged to participate in, all co-curricula programs such as sport, music and student leadership.
Students should expect to be involved, through their classroom activities, in programs such as the Australian Maths Competition, Science Competitions and other programs judged as providing suitable support for the work they are undertaking.
Students entering this course may not necessarily be currently achieving outstanding results.
Students move to the senior campus and provided they have reached the required standard have access to a wide range of VCE and Year 10 subjects. Extensive career counselling at this stage is vital to select a suitable pathway.
Students can progress to VCE subjects as they move to the Macalister Campus. They may opt to:
This includes Parent Evaluation, ‘The Famous You’, the grade 5 NAPLAN results and the $30 application fee. Applications are to be submitted to Guthridge Campus of Sale College. Payment is due at the time the application is received. Exams will only be ordered for paid applications. Entries received after this date will be required to pay $50.

Please note that if you intend on enrolling your child at Sale College for 2025 you will still need to follow the Year 7 enrolment process regardless of SEAL status.
