At Sale College we strive to ensure that "Every Student will Learn, Achieve and Succeed" and that we will "Make a Difference".
Thank you for visiting our website which has been designed to provide an overview of our college and the vast array of learning opportunities for our young people.
At Sale College we strive to ensure that "Every Student will Learn, Achieve and Succeed" and that we will "Make a Difference". This is underpinned by staff who work hard to provide the appropriate learning program for every student in a safe and supportive environment, a range of curricular and extracurricular activities, specialist support staff and excellent facilities.
Our three core values of Respect, Achievement and Belonging provide the framework for everything that we do on a day to day basis across the college community. Students are continually reminded of how important these values are for school and life.
Our school values will be further strengthened by the fact that Sale College has recently been selected as a ‘Lead School’ in the roll out of the Respectful Relationships program. The Respectful Relationships Program was developed as part of the National Action Against Family Violence. We will be auditing our curriculum and well-being programs and working hard to make sure we define appropriate behaviours that guarantee gender equality for all in our community. Our values of RESPECT and BELONGING will be the foundation on for our work to turn young people in our care into caring respectful adults, regardless of their background.
Sale College is committed to maintaining the highest standards for child safety. This committment is underpinned by the following policies: Child Safety Policy and Child Safety Code of Conduct.
We are very proud of our achievements but are also continually looking at ways to best provide for the changing needs of our young people. We are after all nurturing and growing the citizens of our future world.

Sale College was formed at the beginning of 1996 from the
merger of two of Victoria's oldest country secondary schools,
Macalister Secondary College (est. 1885) and Sale High School (est.
1907). In merging, the two schools recognised that a broader range of
curriculum options and improved facilities would provide better
opportunities to enhance the learning outcomes of students.
The Macalister Campus is located in the central business district of Sale and hosts all Year
10 and VCE students. The Guthridge Campus is situated on a seven hectare site and is
located three kilometres east of the town centre and hosts students
from Years 7-9.
