Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports across the College.
A wide range of individual and team sports are catered for with students progressing from the East Gippsland to Gippsland level and if successful then on to the Southern Zone or State finals.
In recent years students have made State finals in swimming, athletics, cricket, soccer, basketball, tennis and badminton.
Students also have the opportunity to compete against other schools in football, netball, basketball, rugby, table tennis, clay target shooting and lawn bowls.

All students and staff at Sale College belong to one of three Houses; Grainger, McIntosh or Guthridge and compete for their own house in College Events that run throughout the year.
In the past, the Annual House Cup has been awarded to the House that has accumulated the highest number of points across each of the schoo'ls carnivals (swimming, cross country and athletics). However this year, all students will have the opportunity to win points for their house.
All faculty areas will facilitate an event throughout the year that highlights their specific subject area. Since the year has begun, the Health and Physical Education Faculty area have organised lunchtime activities at the Guthridge Campus and the Sports Faculty have run our Sale College Swimming Carnival. Therefore, House points are in full swing.
As of Friday the 23rd of February, the tally is as follows:
It is still early days in the competition. Ultimately, we all want to know who will take home the Sale College House Cup at the end of the year! What will you do to earn points for your house?
Students were required to complete a written application form and interview process. The field was very strong and students should continue to pursue leadership opportunities. Congratulations to all the successful candidates. House Captains are pictured below left and the Vice Captains below right.
