Policies

Acceptable Use Policy
All students are required to sign an Acceptable Use Policy before they can access any of the College computers.

Borrowing audio visual equipment
Cameras and other audiovisual equipment can be borrowed by students and staff for curriculum related purposes.  Students need an indemnity form signed by their teacher and a parent or guardian.  Equipment must be returned before school the following day.

Classes booked into the library
Teachers may book their classes into the library.  Bookings are taken up to ten days in advance.  Staff should not book their class into the library with a replacement teacher when they know they are going to be absent, unless they have made prior arrangements with library staff.

Students doing private study
On the Guthridge campus groups of up to 4 students and on the Macalister campus groups of up to 6 students can be sent to the library to work.  They must have a note from their teacher explaining the work to be done and the time they are expected back in class.  VCE students with study periods must sign in at the desk when they arrive in the library.

Lunchtime use of the library
Both libraries are open during lunchtime. Students are encouraged to use the library for private study. Other activities such as board games and cards are available. Computers are available.  On the Guthridge campus computer use is restricted to a particular group each day.  Only one student per computer.  Classroom expectations of behaviour apply.  Students who do not use the library facilities quietly and sensibly will be asked to leave the library and may be denied future lunchtime access.
